Do I need permits or engineering drawings?
Cabana X was deliberately built as a non-permanent furniture product. Most installs need no engineering or permitting because the cabana is classified differently than a permanent shade structure. Local rules vary — requirements get confirmed during the design conversation.
How is it powered?
It plugs into a standard exterior GFCI outlet. No electrician, no hard-wired panel, no conduit. The motorized louvers and the optional RGB lighting on the Core+ both run from that single plug.
What is the difference between Core and Core+?
Both share the motorized aluminum louvers, the same powder-coat finish quality, the included Somfy® remote, and the modular-ready frame. Core+ adds controlled RGB LED lighting, Bluetooth scene presets, and an independent lighting app — built for evening atmosphere, not just shade.
Can I add walls, curtains, or lighting later?
Yes. Every Cabana X frame is enhancement-ready. Slat, tilt, and solid panels add at the corners. Powder-coated curtain rods accept Sunbrella™ fabric. Corbel ends finish the louver terminations. Enhancements install without modifying the core structure.
What colors and finishes are available?
Four standard powder-coat finishes — Full Textured White, Full Textured Black, Black with White Louvers, and White with Black Louvers. Two premium woodgrain finishes — Aspen (walnut) and South Beach (teak) — bring timber warmth to a maintenance-free aluminum frame.
Can multiple cabanas be connected?
Yes — that is the point of the modular design. Connection points are built into the frame so two or more units share structural elements. Common layouts include Linear, C-Shaped, and Diagonal — defining larger covered spaces with less material than two separate structures.
